November 9, 2005 \\ Schralping Dude!!!
Well somehow, despite the dreadful forecasts, the weather stayed dry for the skatepark opening. And what an absolutely fantastic park it is. I had a good OG skate-sesh with my posse on the wall ride. There were hundreds of groms and semi-groms milling around with their eye-linered-up glum-looking girlfriends.
The bands played on a covered stage next to the bowl. The bowl was renamed "The Pit" by Shauno who 'dissed' me on stage for not dropping in to it.
The bands were watched by a small audience but provided background sounds for the gromlets. Gillam drummed magnificently for us and went off to his firework party (with "plenty of illegal fireworks") with a grin on his face.
DARTZ! were dead good and dead YOUNG!
Thanks to Bod, Bingo and Tim for getting us on. Hopefully we'll play there again in warmer times!
